Mergulhando o espaço no tempo: as metáforas temporais na fraseologia portuguesa e na poesia do Chico Buarque

Abstract

Segundo a teoria cognitivista da metáfora, concebemos o tempo em termos de espaço, princípio testemunhado pela recorrência desta metáfora em muitas línguas do mundo, entre elas o português. Existem nas línguas vários macro-modelos cognitivos espaço-temporais, dos quais pelo menos cinco têm manifestações em português, testemunhados nas metáforas gramaticais das perífrases, da fraseologia e do léxico figurado. A competência discursiva pessoal dos escritores, aproveitando e misturando essas possibilidades, pode criar um efeito multiplicador, como podemos constatar na obra literária do poeta, romancista, compositor, cantor e dramaturgo brasileiro Chico Buarque de Holanda.

Antonio Pamies-Bertrán, Universidad de Granada

Antonio Pamies-Bertrán é professor catedrático de Linguística Geral na Universidade de Granada (Espanha), pesquisador especialista em linguística contrastiva, especialmente nos campos da fonética e da fraseologia. Autor ou coautor de publicações em vários países, entre as quais “El lenguaje de la lechuza: apuntes para un diccionario intercultural” (2007), Fraseología y Metáfora: aspectos tipológicos y cognitivos (com Eva Iñesta 2002); El lenguaje de los enfermos (com Francisca Rodríguez-Simón, 2003), Trabajos de lexicografía y fraseologia multilingües (com Juan de Dios Luque-Durán, 2000) ou Linguo-cultural Competence and Phraseological Motivation (com Dmitrij Dobrovol’skij, 2011).

Rosemeire Monteiro-Plantin, Universidade Federal do Ceará

Rosemeire Selma Monteiro- -Plantin é doutora em Linguística e professora Titular do Departamento de Letras Vernáculas da Universidade Federal do Ceará (Brasil). Desenvolve pesquisas em fraseologia teórica e aplicada e dedica-se ao ensino de Português como língua materna e não materna. É autora de vários trabalhos sobre fraseologia, entre eles o livro Fraseologia: Era uma vez um patinho feio no ensino da língua materna. Fortaleza: UFC, 2012.
